About this Handbook

For many years, the Ecumencial Handbook of the Episcopal Church was published by the Office of Ecumenical and Inter-religious Relations of the Episcopal Church. The last published edition of that is available as a PDF below.

In 2016, it was determined that the flexibility of an online resource would be preferable to a printed book, and custodianship of the Handbook was handed over to EDEIO. It was brought online in 2017 and is updated regularly by EDEIO membership in consultation with national staff.
